A crosswalk at the eastbound entrance to the BQE at Hamilton Avenue by Hicks Street, behind The Brooklyn New School, PS 146 4.8/5 (5)

I propose that adding a crosswalk at this highly trafficked area will make motorists more aware of pedestrians and the proximity of the intersection to homes, schools, a dog park and a ballfield.
As our housing needs expand, more and more people, including families, are using this direct access to get from the waterfront in Red Hook to other neighborhoods & transportation. Additionally, many dog owners are crossing here with their pets, as it is the closest access to the gate at the highly popular Milo’s Run dog park.
