Convert a unused park in my neighborhood to a skatepark 4.2/5 (5)

So on the corner of Ocean Parkway and Sherman at the foot of the 8th street pedestrian bridge sits an underused City park. Its design dates to the 70’s? and provides no useable recreational facilities. Why not convert the space to a skate park – modest in size for sure, but potentially interesting in design for the kids in the neighborhood – and I suppose those daring adults! Currently a rather robust skateboarding community takes advantage of the large downhill at the parks entrance on PPSW between Windsor and 11th avenue. Be interesting to involve them in the design and creation of the park.
