Winter Domes for Playgrounds 4/5 (6)

Every child should have a free place to play in the winter. The Tennis Courts near Prospect Park have a dome that provides protection from the bitter winter cold. So how about doing that for our playgrounds in Prospect Park? Some options can be found at Weather Port Shelter Systems, www.weatherport.com. Cold temperatures below freezing (or at the index of “feeling like below freezing” range from November throughout April. That is six months out of the year that kids spend much less time if any at the playgrounds, and there aren’t many free options otherwise. This would be a great way all Brooklyn Kids could have free play in the parks all year long.
