Protected Bike Lanes in Southern Half of District 4/5 (7)

NYCDOT’s Safer Cycling Study released in 2017 shows that the lower half of District 39 (CD 12- Windsor Terrace, Kensington, Boro Park, etc) has some of the city’s highest bike fatalities and injuries and a low level of bike network. This part of the district needs to catch up to protect residents and commuters! There need to be more protected bike lines generally, but some examples include updating Caton Ave. to a protected lane, adding bike protections on McDonald Ave, Ft. Hamilton Pkwy and other east-west routes, etc. We need to prioritize the timing (sooner) and the level of protection (high).
