Every morning walking to PS295 you will stumble upon multiple piles of dog poop. Your child may even step on it and then bring it into the classroom rug where every child in the class may sit, roll, or lay on it. There is a large dog walking population in this area including dog walking services who use 6th ave as their route. There are no garbage can available for people to pick up their poop piles and throw them away. The only one is inside of a closed fence inside Slope Park Playground. I would love to have one on the corner of 6th & 18th street and 6th and 19th street. Both are entrances to 3 different schools with major foot traffic. This will help children from stepping in and tracking feces into the school.
