Climate change is real, and we all must do our part to reduce carbon emissions as individuals. That’s why it was such a shock recently to see all of the paper and aluminum/plastic/glass recycling bins removed from Court Street between Atlantic and Hamilton in Cobble Hill and Carroll Gardens. We should be offering MORE opportunities for recycling in Brooklyn, not taking them away. We should be teaching our kids to recycle, not make the easy choice of just tossing our recyclables in the landfill-bound trash because there isn’t another convenient option. Please return the public recycling bins to the neighborhood corners of Court Street.
