I’ve frequented the Thomas Greene playground every day for the past four years. In that time, it has devolved into a veritable tent city for the homeless — no one uses the skate park / basketball courts due to vagrants living in the park. Over the same period of time, I’ve watched three suggestions to revamp Washington Park Dog Run go unanswered, and thus the ability to have a clean and safe environment for my dog to play is difficult. My suggestion is to allocate half of Thomas Greene basketball courts to a new dog park. This would increase traffic to the park, imbuing it with new life and positive influences, as well as discourage those who live in the park from being there.
