Albemarle Playground had its last renovation (to playground appartus) over 20 years ago. It’s decrepit with rusted metal, splintered wood and uneven park padding on the ground as nature finds a way. There are spigots sticking out of the ground beside the toddler island that is a tripping hazard. The water fountains dont usually work either. The diverse community (culturally, linguistically, socio-economically, racially, etc.) would benefit from updated design that uses space smarter and gets our children moving and using their active imaginations.
